PaulDXB said: Why can't we have a bootcamp patch to enable windows to install from a USB port on a late iMac 2009 i have no optical drive like most people (replaced with a SSD) and it will not install unless the original windows iso disk is in the optical drive. Im sure Apple could write a simple patch.Apple has a list of supported USB boot models in one of the files in the Bootcamp assistant, the earliest is 2011 iMacs. Right-click the Boot Camp Assistant app, show package contents, then open Contents/info.plist in an editor. You can use plain text editors like TextEdit but it's better to use XML editors like prefsetter ( ). There are guides on editing the file to force the app to support older computer models but this can stop the app working so back it up (e.g right-click compress the app): =0 -enable-create-a-windows-usb-install-disk-in-bootcamp-assistant-for-mountain-lion/This will enable the option to create a bootable USB drive from an ISO. The Bootcamp app isn't needed to install Windows, that's only needed for partitioning and creating a bootable USB drive. If you are able to partition the drive and make a valid bootable USB drive (I find a hard drive works better than pen drives for boot support), you can just hold alt/option at boot and choose the USB drive as the installer. If this still won't boot, the machine might have a firmware limitation when it comes to booting USB devices but all Intel Macs should be ok. If you ever manage to get Bootcamp setup ok, apps like Winclone ( ) can backup and restore the partition to make it easier in future.

Apple Boot Camp Support 5.1.5621 Free Download For Mac

The Windows Support Software was downloaded by using the BootCamp Assistant. I confirmed the files are the same as the files that can be downloaded from the Apple website Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5621. I installed Windows 10 to legacy BIOS boot.

Greetings. I am in the process of trying to get windows 7 onto my MacBPro, running 10.9.4. I have purchased Windows 7, downloaded it & have an .iso file.I followed the instructions in bootcamp(gotten all proper windows updates) and utilized your bit of code to get bootcamp to create a bootable disc from the iso file and put it on a USB, which it does successfully. When I proceed to partition my drive through bootcamp, it stops me & says there is no bootable disc detected, pls install disc.Through my research I have also installed rEFIt and using disk utility partitioned my drive and bypass bootcamp. When I start my mac, I get the rEFIt option to install windows from my USB, but in doing so it cannot find the BOOTMGR file.Any assistance would be greatly appreciatedIra

Hi. I already downloaded windows 8.1 (64-bit). And was in the process of making a bootable usb with the boot camp assistant but it prompts me with this message: Boot Camp only supports 64-bit Windows installation on this platform. Please use a ISO file for 64-bit Windows installation. I have a Macbook Air 10.9.2-early 2014. Please help. thanks

Hi Eric,Yes it is free and you should be able to get all the boot camp drivers here.Boot camp driversAlso the last part of this video should give you some idea how to install them. How to remove a bootcamp partition and install Windows support software from Apple.CheersMatt

Hey, I have a mid 2015 MacBook Pro and I have Windows 8.1 downloaded onto it through bootcamp assist. I tried downloading the driver BootCamp5.1.5640 and it says that this driver doesnt work for this computer model. I was able to go in and manually add some and some worked (like the volume, bluetooth, etc), but the wifi DOES NOT work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Yohan,See my reply to Davey.Hi Davey For the time being see if you can use a USB mouse and keyboard. The thing to check would be the device manager and see what drivers are missing. Then use the boot camp downloads to see if the devices will disappear. Try using an older version than 5.1.5640. Cheers Matt

would you help me please i have macbook air 11 inch late 2010 i try to install window 7 when open boot camp and continue i got two options1 download the latest windows supp,2 install window 7than continue window pop up, The installer dis could not be found.all ready i have window 7 ISO and also window support software from Apple in USB on my mac desktop

1) Went to -camp-drivers/and downloaded the correct Boot Camp Support drivers for my mid 2011 iMac (inmy case: version 5.1.5621). I downloaded these drivers onto a 16GB USB FlashDrive that had been formatted as MS-DOS (FAT)/Master Boot Record. Once thedownload was complete, I took out the USB Flash Drive and put it aside forlater.

3.You can download the old bootcamp drivers from here: =en_US (make sure it's the right bootcamp for your mac model - the page has more info and the link to the other drivers if you need them instead)

Hi how are you?i tried to instill windows 10 in my mac and it show me (your bootable USB drive could not be created)Boot Camp only supports windows 7 or later installation on this platform. please use an ISO file for windows 7 or later installation by the way i download the windows 10 but i could not instill it

Boot Camp 3 0 For Windows 10 free download - Active@ Boot Disk, Microsoft Jet Database Engine 3, VidMate HD for Windows 10, and many more programs. If you are running El Capitan (OS X 10.11), you can download the Boot Camp Support Software by following the steps given below. Open the Boot Camp Assistant application. Selelct "Action" on the Menu Bar. Select "Download Windows Support Software". Apple officially supports Windows 10 on the newer Macs. Generally these are the 2012 and later models. When installing Windows 10 on my 2011 iMac, this download can be substituted for the Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5621 download. Create a ExFAT formatted volume labeled "BOOTCAMP" on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th partition of the primary disk.

I have a 2010 Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard (10.6.8) installed and couldn't get the right Boot Camp upgrade using any of the Apple download software from within the bootcamp Application. After installing this Update/Upgrade suddenly all of the required drivers appeared in the Windows 'Device manager' and everything started working perfectly.

Switch to OS X. Plug in a flash drive. Format it to Ms-Dos (fat). Open bootcamp. Check off the box that only says download windows support software. It should detect the flash drive automatically. The software will download. Once it's done switch back to the windows side. Open your flash drives folder. 2ff7e9595c
